September 2017, Mikaela takes out the ANFAPLACE pro in Casablanca.

In 2016, Mikaela ranked first at the World Surf League (WSL) Australasia Qualifying Series. The win was the result of all her hard work, patience and of course the continuous support of the community, giving her the chance to take a big lead against her competing rival, Philippa Anderson.

“I feel amazing, it’s such an incredible feeling” said Mikaela, “I have never even been in the Final of Qualifying Series event, so to win is unbelievable. I wanted to use this event to warm up for the QS6000, so to take a win is a massive confidence booster.”
